History
Granite Mountain Nature Gallery is a family operated rock shop and nature related business. In 1987, we started business as Paleo Impressions doing the reatil and wholesale trade show circuit and dealing mainly in fossils. In time, diversification into other nature related products took place.
In 1998, the business name was changed to Granite Mountain Nature Gallery and a store was opened in the McCall Mall. Since then, the store has expanded product lines, service, and size while continuing to participate in several trade shows. In the fall of 2007, the store was moved to its current location at 305 East Park Street. Current plans are to continue to expand our product lines, improve quality, and offer friendly and informative services.
Services
Granite mountain specializes mainly in the sale of international nature related products. Our goal is to provide an extensive selection of products, many of which can't be found in similar stores. We are opportunists and are continuously looking for new products that are unusual and reasonably priced. We strive for fair prices and attempt to provide accurate product information. For customer convenience, the store offers extended hours during the summer season.
We also give presentations to small groups, such as high school & grade school classes, boy & girl scouts, and any other group that may be interested. The subjects we can discuss are geology, paleontology, minerology, insects, buying minerals in China, the making of our marble vases, and many other subjects.
We attempt to identify customer specimens as well as providing local fossil and mineral collecting information.
In many cases, we can wholesale products to qualified buyers (other businesses only).
